CRAFT DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE - BOSTON

PURPOSE

The role of Craft Development Representative (CDR) is to champion the MBA portfolio to our delivery retail accounts and provide sales support to MBA partners. This position is based in the Boston market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain contact, communication, and relationships with retailers (on and off-premise) and MBA Sales Supervisor.

  • Execute sales strategies to help obtain distribution and volume goals and programming developed by suppliers with assistance from MBA Sales Management.

  • Recruit, develop, and farm new retail accounts for MBA delivery.

  • Develop accounts craft knowledge and maintain specified account frequency call goal.

  • Utilize and maintain sales orders and data via route accounting software (Encompass)

  • Help execute key tastings, wait staff trainings, promotions, and beer dinners at retail level.

  • Ensure proper merchandising of accounts with paper and permanent point of sale.

  • Monitor beer code dates of beer in trade, ensure all product is rotated and fresh.

  • Assist alliance distributor sales team on selling craft beer to retail, identifying opportunities, and resonating the culture of MBA breweries to the market.

  • Assist retailers on all things craft beer including beer ingredients, brewing processes, beer styles, beer history, breweries, and competition.

  • Champion visibility of MBA brands at retail level.

  • Act as MBA liaison for local beer festivals and events.

  • Represent MBA and brewery partners within the local community in a responsible fashion. 

  • Participate in sales meetings and market visits.

  • Monthly administrative paperwork will be required.

  • Some travel may be required including GABF, CBC, Savor, brewery visits across US and international.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous sales in beer or beverage industry. Distributor experience a big plus.

  • Attention to detail is a must.

  • Above average ability to problem solve.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Enthusiasm for craft beer.

  • Confident and willing to question conventional wisdom. 

  • Enjoy a very fast paced environment and adapt to change. 

  • Strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions and disciplines. 

  • Cicerone beer server certification, and desire to achieve Certified Cicerone level. 

  • Social media savvy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid and clean driver license.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business.

  • Willingness to work unconventional hours.

  • Proficiency in Encompass a huge plus.

  • Proven ability to use data and analytics to develop insights.

  • Ability to consume responsibly.

DELIVERY DRIVER

PURPOSE

The primary role of the Delivery Driver assuring proper delivery of retail orders to our valued accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • PICK RETAIL ORDERS

  • LOAD AND UNLOAD RETAIL DELIVERY TRUCKS IN A SAFE, TIMELY AND ACCURATE MANNER

  • COLLECT REDEEMABLE PRODUCTS SUCH AS EMPTY KEGS AND EMPTY CASES TO BE RETURNED AND/OR RECYCLED AT OUR WAREHOUSE

  • ENSURE PROPER ROTATION AT OUR ACCOUNTS

DAY WAREHOUSE WORKER

PURPOSE

The primary role of the Day Warehouse Worker is to pick orders, load and unload trucks in a safe, timely and accurate manner, and to keep the warehouse in an organized, clean and tidy fashion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • UNLOAD INBOUND FREIGHT WITH FORK LIFT AND/OR HAND JACK, AND STACK IN A MANNER COMMON TO THE PACKAGE. COUNT THE NUMBER OF PALLETS/CASES REMOVED FROM IN-BOUND TRAILERS OR TRUCKS AND REPORT SAME TO SUPERVISOR. CHECK AND VERIFY ACTUAL QUANTITIES RECEIVED AGAINST ACCOMPANYING PAPER WORK (INVOICES, BILLS OF LADING, WEIGHT BILLS, ETC.)

  • LOAD PRODUCT ONTO OUTBOUND VEHICLES BY PICKING PRODUCT DESIGNATED BY BILLS, INVOICES, BILLS OF LADING, ETC. RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCURATELY PICKING THE PRODUCT AS DESIGNED BY THE ACCOMPANYING PAPERWORK AND VERIFIED BY THE WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR. 

  • ORGANIZE AND STORE OR LOAD ANY AND ALL RETURN DUNNAGE OR RECYCLED PACKAGES IN DUNNAGE ROOM OR TRAILER OR UNDER THE DIRECTION OF WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

  • RESTOCK WAREHOUSE PICK AND STORAGE LOCATIONS

  • CHANGE A BATTERY OF ANY ELECTRIC FORK LIFT

  • ATTEND TO NEATNESS AND ORGANIZATION OF THE WAREHOUSE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE SUPERVISOR

  • HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCT CODE DATES, AND STOCK ROTATION PROCEDURES AND POLICIES

  • TAKE PROPER CARE OF THE EQUIPMENT ASSIGNED TO THEM AND REPORT ALL MALFUNCTIONS OF THAT EQUIPMENT TO THE WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

  • PERFORM BREAKAGE ROOM DUTIES WHEN REQUIRED

  • RECEIVE POS MATERIALS FROM SHIPMENTS OR PARCEL DELIVERY AND MAINTAIN AN ORGANIZED POS STORAGE AREA

  • PICK AND PACK FOR SHIPMENT POS ORDERS AS DESIGNATED BY BILLS, INVOICES OR BILLS OF LADING PROVIDED BY THE WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

  • OCCASIONALLY ASKED TO MAKE EMERGENCY DELIVERIES REQUIRING SPECIAL ATTENTION

  • PERFORM MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES WHICH MAY ARISE DURING THE COURSE OF THE WORK DAY (I.E. , LOAD BARRELS AND CASES ONTO DELIVERY TRUCKS; PICK SPECIAL ORDERS; ROUTINE CLEANING OF WAREHOUSE; ETC.)

  • TAKE PHYSICAL INVENTORY COUNTS AT THE DIRECTION OF THE WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR INCLUDING RECOUNTS WHERE REQUESTED
